Cosmetic dentistry
Oral hygiene is essential to preserve a healthy periodontium (tissue surrounding the tooth) and to prevent cavities.
An oral examination and scaling is performed as needed, but in most cases, every six months.
To improve dental aesthetics, we perform bleaching using custom-made trays made in the laboratory and we make ceramic dental veneers that allow us to restore a beautiful smile while preserving a maximum amount of dental tissue.
Removable dental prosthesis
To better help you rebuild your teeth, we can advise you on fixed, semi-removable or removable solutions using the most modern techniques.
In the case of a complete oral restoration, one of the options is a removable prosthesis. It allows restoring a natural smile with a long-life span.
Hybrid dental prosthesis
The hybrid denture combines fixed and removable prothesis. It allows perfect aesthetic restoration in anterior with the bridge and functional restoration in posterior with the removable prosthesis. An attachment allows the removable prosthesis to be attached to the bridge.
Fixed dental prosthesis
If a tooth is severely decayed, we can protect it by making a custom-made ceramic crown by the dental technician.
If a tooth is missing and the adjacent teeth are already cared for, we can make a bridge that both replaces the missing tooth and protects the adjacent teeth. The bridge is also custom-made by the dental technician.
Inlay, onlay, overlay
When teeth are broken or decayed due to extensive decay or removal of an old amalgam-style filling, the original shape and perfect aesthetics of the tooth can be restored by permanently bonding a ceramic inlay, onlay or overlay to the tooth.
Endodontics
If the pulp inflammation is not yet irreversible, an attempt can be made to maintain pulpal vitality by using biomaterials to create a capping that protects the nerve.
If the decay is too extensive, the tooth is devitalized. This treatment is done under an operating field (dam) in an aseptic way and under a microscope.
Endodontic surgery
If endodontic treatment or even reprocessing does not cure the root infection, endodontic surgery is used.
This operation is carried out under a microscope and allows for the curettage of the lesion as well as root canal cleaning and back-clogging.
Titanium dental implants
When one or more teeth are missing, artificial roots, titanium implants, are placed in the jawbone. After a healing period that varies between 4 and 7 months, an attachment, a crown or a bridge is screwed onto the implant(s). We only use the products of a world-renowned company: Nobel Biocare.
Dental ceramic implants
Organic dentistry is the cornerstone of the “SWISS BIOHEALTH CONCEPT”. The symbiosis between Biological Medicine and Biological Dentistry, the biological therapy concepts and protocols open up a new path to the future of Biological Medicine with ceramic implants. The “Swiss Dental Solution” or SDS is a biological implant which is based on more than twenty years of research and experience.
Periodontology
Periodontology treats diseases of the periodontium, which is the anchoring system of the teeth.
The most common disease is gingivitis, the inflammation of the gums. It starts to bleed and then gradually detaches from the tooth until a pocket is formed. At this stage the disease is called periodontitis, because in addition to the gum, it affects the anchoring system: the bone and the ligament. The tooth then loses its stability.
Periodontal treatment helps to eradicate the bacteria under the gum. Root planing is performed to remove tartar that is stuck to the root.
The therapy is all the easier the earlier the disease is detected.
Periodontal Surgery
If the gum is strongly retracted, grafts can be performed to equalize the level of the gum at the tooth necks.
Guided bone regeneration, with the help of natural bone particles and collagen membranes, makes it possible to gain bone before placing implants.
Oral Surgery
Everything that refers to the extraction of wisdom teeth, impacted or ectopic teeth, but also to the removal of maxillary cysts or labial and lingual frenectomies, the regularization of bone ridges and pre-implant sinus elevations.
Dental radiography
An accurate diagnosis is the basis of all high-quality dental treatment. We have at our disposal an orthopantomographic X-ray machine that records all healthy and diseased anatomical structures of the oropharynx (nose, mouth, throat). This will allow us to detect pathologies early and treat you as soon as possible.
Treatment under general anaesthesia at the Hôpital HRS – Kirchberg
Long and complex procedures can be performed while the patient is sleeping. We offer general anaesthesia for anxious patients or for oral surgery. This practice is valid for both children and adults. We perform these procedures at the Hôpital HRS – Kirchberg
